Game App Installation Safety Checklist
A practical checklist for reviewing an Android game app, permissions, publisher information, privacy details and download destinations before installation.

Before you install
Take a minute to identify what you are installing and where it came from. A download button alone should not be treated as proof that an app is safe.
Checklist
- Confirm the app name and destination domain.
- Read the publisher or operator information available on the destination.
- Review requested permissions and ask whether each permission makes sense for the app.
- Read the privacy policy and current terms if available.
- Keep Android and your security software updated.
- Avoid entering passwords, payment details or personal information on pages you do not trust.
- If the page redirects somewhere unexpected, stop and reassess before continuing.
After installation
Review the installed app's permissions and remove access that is not necessary where your device allows it. If an app behaves unexpectedly, uninstall it and review your device security settings.
